As industry and governmental regulations increased, larger and more complex, metallurgical processes began being utilized in the offshore and petrochemical industry. There developed a need for specialized Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) and Pre-heating (PH) services. The owners of BAYOU recognized this need and in 1995 founded Acadiana Testing & Heating Services, Inc. (ATH) .
